Unique Upcycled Gifts by Eco Kazen

Among all of the amazing handmade items I’m seeing this season, I have to share one of the shops I’ve been raving about for the last few weeks:

Eco Kazen!

This shop is ran by Sylvain and Annabelle, a father and daughter family business! They work as a team to offer you beautiful handmade products, produced with recycled materials. They are located in a beautiful small village of Saint-Andre-Avellin, in the province of Quebec in Canada and with many years of exposure and satisfied customers, they decided to sell on ETSY to share a piece of their work around the world!

The beginning of EcoKazen :

◆ Sylvain : With many years of experience in the hardwood flooring industry he realized how much wood was discarded because of non-standard compliance, that make him realized all the possibilities to give a second chance to this noble products. He can create unique ecological lamps and recup wooden pieces in order to create stunning jewelries.

◆ Annabelle : Seeing her dad give a second chance to wooden pieces  gave her the idea to create jewelry.  Creation has always been part of me, a degree in infographics and photography enthusiast and enjoys creating one of a kind pieces!

We got a necklace of theirs for our sweet, free-spirited, boy, Kee & used it in a recent photo shoot.

The knot of the wood is handmade, from the rests of leftover hardwood flooring and this is the one accessory he actually enjoys!

The necklace is lightweight, so you don’t have to worry about it being too heavy or wearing your neck out at the end of the day.
